Instructors: The Space We Make collaborators
This place-based workshop is designed to share some of the compositional techniques utilized by TSWM with participants who may be less familiar with movement as a creative medium. Participants will be guided through a warm up that builds comfort with getting physically up-close-and-personal with different textures, surfaces and environments found throughout the property at Craigardan. We will discuss and practice different methods of drawing information from our surroundings, approaching different parts of the landscape via movement, writing and discussion. Participants will then build small movement studies of their own in an area of their choosing, eventually sharing them with the group.
Workshop Fee - $20 (all proceeds go toward the Paul Z. Nowicki Master Artists Fellowship)
