Join us on the farm this summer as a volunteer!
You will be one of the many pairs of hands working to launch the new Community Farm Program at Craigardan. This program aims to:
- teach valuable skills and empower people to grow their own food
- provide weekly farm shares for neighbors experiencing food insecurity
- give 100% profits to local farms
- exchange knowledge and resources while spending quality time outdoors
- create a reliable and consistent access point for healthy, local food year-round to consumers
Please join us for the first volunteer orientation day on Saturday, June 19th from 9am - 10am. You are welcome to invite friends and neighbors who may also be interested in learning more. If you missed or cannot attend the orientation day, please send us an email and we will meet at a time that is good for you: info@craigardan.org
The summer program will run every Saturday from 9am-11am June 26 through September 25. You are not expected or required to join us every Saturday! However, on the days you do volunteer, you can expect a small “thank you” share of the harvest in some way. You can also expect to have fun, get a bit dirty, and learn something new. We will be working in the vegetable garden, the orchard, the apiary, and even with the chickens and sheep.
Please reach out with any questions: info@craigardan.org
We look forward to seeing you on the farm!
