Intro to Pottery: Centering and Throwing

Tuesdays, 6-8pm

Instructor:  Caitlyn Wright

Learning to throw on the potter’s wheel is one thing on everyone’s “bucket list.”  This is your chance!  This fun class guides the beginner through basic ceramics: working with clay, the centering process, pulling cylinders, and creating functional ware on the wheel.  We will be learning basic glazing techniques, as well as the bisque and glaze firing processes.  Each participant will take home finished functional wares, glazed and fired in the wood kiln.

$185 including materials and firings | 6 sessions + Saturday open studio
