Empty Bowl, Full Heart Fundraiser

Although the event has changed due to COVID-19, bowls are now available by donation and all funds raised will go toward local initiatives to fight hunger.

Just click DONATE below and select the option “Empty Bowl Full Heart Event”.

Bowls will be available for pick up at Craigardan’s Farm Store any day, Monday through Saturday 9am-6pm. Participants can purchase a bowl and receive a token to present at a participating restaurant for a bowl of soup during the month of February.

Participating restaurants for the month of February include:

  • Ausable Inn (Keene Valley)

  • Cedar Run Bakery (Keene)

  • Old Mountain Coffee (Keene Valley)

  • Green Goddess (Lake Placid)

Present your token at these restaurants for specific dates only:

  • Rivermede Farm Store - February 14th (Keene Valley)

  • Baxter Mountain Tavern - February 22-28 (Keene)

Bowls can also be purchased at Cedar Run, East Branch Organics, and Sugar House Creamery

Craigardan is proud to be a partner in this Winter's Empty Bowl, Full Heart dinner in honor of Carmina Leabres Drake.  The dinner has been organized by community members to honor Carmina and perpetuate the charitable concept of the traditional empty bowl dinner here in Keene.  All proceeds will benefit local initiatives to fight hunger.

Last winter, potters were busy throwing bowls, and restaurants are finally able to prepare food to donate to the event.  Participants can purchase a bowl, fill it with soup for a light meal at a participating restaurant on Sunday, February 14th, and take the bowl home as a reminder of those who go hungry around the world and around the corner.  Bowls are available for a $15 donation, the meal is free.

Purchase your bowls in advance online now! Make a donation in advance with a credit card and choose your bowls at the Craigardan farm store or at another partner location (ask us where!). Click the button above and select “Empty Bowl, Full Heart Dinner Event”
